There are only a handful of "all-inclusive" places on the island. You will hear many people say that you do not need all inclusive on the island because of all of the restaurants there are and if you are staying on the north end, almost all of them are walkable from wherever you are staying. However, it is nice to be able to enjoy your day drinking, breakfast, lunch and some dinners at the hotel and then maybe venture out for a few nights dinners at some of the local favorite spots. I love the vibe here - however, it is very different from the "Cancun vibe" - there are not many shows, activities planned, like the Cancun resorts do. Isla is more of a "do your own thing" and go to the beach and hit some diffferent restaurants/bars on the island.
